So many people are gifted with warm hearts and kind words.....they express themselves so eloquently.....they use their experiences to help others understand their own trials and tribulations....we learn from our life experiences and share them with others....they help us to learn and grow
We see our loved ones through eyes of others and we understand our loved ones through their words .....
I recently received an e-mail from the mother of Jonny's friends, she expressed to me how Jonny's smile lit up a room, of his compassion for others and of his kindness....I always observed these characters in Jonny, but to know that others appreciated these qualities, is so comforting
Although Brandon and Jonny had completely different personalities, they both demonstrate these qualities and characteristics....these are deep and sincere...both my sons are forever in my heart and I cherish my time with them....
Sandy, this was a beautiful post. And I'm so glad that woman took the time to let you know how your Jonny touched her life and the lives of others. You knew your son to be a very caring young man and while you didn't need validation of that, it's still heartwarming to hear it.
ReplyDeleteI think the overwhelming love you have for both your boys is a treasure. And that love and the fact that both your boys carry similar caring qualities is a testament to the woman you are.
All the best,
Eileen
Beachgirl...I've been thinking about you and wondering how you are doing.
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to know from others what you already know in your heart....your children are kind and compassionate.
Have you ever thought about designing a blog award to pass on to others who share kindess...compassion...in Jonny's memory....just a thought.
Hugs and smiles from Jackie
You know, it seems so strange to me now, but I used to also think that the best thing to do was to NOT talk about a loved one who had passed on to Heaven. Now I know that it is more healing as I LOVE to hear someone tell me something about Mario or my mom too...it's like a hug.
ReplyDeleteblessings and hugs,
marcy
I am so sorry for your loss, I too have a son in heaven, as a matter of fact today is his birthday. It is still painful to me but I know he is in a much better place and would not want me to be sad....may your memories fill your heart with love, compassion and understanding......:-) Hugs
